Romero is a top samba dance teacher
from Rio's famous Mangueira School of Samba and has 30 years experience
of teaching all the different samba rythms.
In his workshop you will learn the basic samba steps - from the incredibly sensual
and fast "hip shaking" moves of the female passista through the rougish
gangster-like moves of the male malandro to the swirling Baiana women.
Samba
is extremely diverse. It is a fun, therapeutic and energetic dance
requiring no partner.
You will learn basic dance coordination that is useful to any
style of dance, get an aerobic, calorie-burning workout and the teacher
will end the class with a relaxing cool-down using Colour Therapy.
